I am not really into scooters much though my first motorized two wheels was a scooter (Honda Sky) I went to ride on dirt road with it every time I found its key and parents were not home. Awesome time!
Honda has been building scooters since 1954. the first was the Juno and the best selling vehicle of the world, Honda Cub is basically a scooter. Honda started to building modern scooters in late 70's.
Honda released my favorite scooter in 2003, the rugged styled Ruckus. It is also known as Zoomer. The most significant attribute of this scooter was its radial styling which resembled no other modern scooter. I liked the very basic simple design. It has been attracting different audience and bringing new people to motorcycling just like the Cub did in a smaller scale. Its power plant is 49cc liquid cooled single cylinder 4 stroke.
Since its debut, The Ruckus has became quite popular with a large aftermarket scene. Later Honda made bigger sized Ruckus with 250cc displacement but the big price tag prevented from becoming a bigger hit. If you want it, go to Powersports Honda There is a forum dedicated to Ruckus, Zoomer, Metropolitan, Jazz and Scoopy related as well. TotalRuckus.com Metropolitan, Jazz shares the same engine/drivetrain.
