it's the amazing Suzuki RE-5 with Wankel Rotary Power. the only Japanese bike to use rotaries was this one. it was 497cc and 62hp a decent performer and a real gas hog. perhaps a little too different for the bikers of the day they didn't sell enough of them to break even and so 1977 saw the last of the RE-5's. they were reliable and the engine was reputed to go at least 100,000 miles between overhauls if properly taken of. the top picture is of the latest model the 1976-77 A which had normal looking speedometer and gauges and tail light as well as single point ignition. the bottom picture is of the original 1975 model the M which had the toilet paper roll gauge set and tail light. i'd kinda like to have one. might make my Hondas jealous though.
