Frank Frazetta was one of the most famous fantasy artists who painted more than 150 covers for fantasy novels, along with movie posters, album covers, comic book covers plus his own original paintings. His works influenced so many painters as well as sculptors. His most well-known works were associated with Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian. He will be remembered as one of the most influential modern American painters. Some of his works were sold for over a million dollars.
I heard that he was such a perfectionist who keeps finding flaws on his works and painting over his (already published once and became famous) paintings displayed in his home museum. He was 82.
